Jean-Michel Kunz has many years of experience practising in insolvency and banking law. From 2000 to 2006, he was Legal Clerk, Executive Legal Clerk and sole judge in bankruptcy and debt restructuring at Zurich District Court. He spent the next four years at a major Swiss bank, where he was responsible for handling queries from authorities throughout Switzerland, international injunctions and international inheritance cases, as well as managing two teams based in Zurich and Geneva. He subsequently went on to head the Insolvency and Recovery Switzerland department of one of the Big Four companies for six years, taking on wide-ranging mandates in the industry and banking sectors. He founded ib legal at the end of 2017. In addition, Jean-Michel Kunz has been the Debt Enforcement and Bankruptcy Inspector for the Canton of Schwyz since August 2020.

Jean-Michel Kunz is bilingual (German and French mother tongue) and also works in English and Italian.
